Fall Foliage and Ski Season

Hey Guys! Sorry for the hiatus, Vermont was hit pretty badly by Hurricane Irene and I have been busy helping out. BUT I wanted to let you all know that Stowe had no damage and is still open for business! We are so excited up here for fall foliage season and with cooler temperatures in the air skiing is on our minds again! And with skiing on our minds if you are a local or visiting Burlington check out Marketfest 2011!

Fall Foliage in Stowe

To see Stowe and the surrounding countryside at its most spectacular, visit us this autumn. Frosty mornings give way to cool, crisp days - perfect for enjoying the outdoors. The colorful hillsides - ablaze with red, orange, and gold, and it takes my breath away very single year!

But please don't ask when the leaves will be at their peak. The timing depends on temperature, sunlight, and rainfall amounts. This makes the timing of the peak a little different from year to year and impossible to predict exactly, although it's the subject of endless speculation in these parts. As a general rule, you can be assured of viewing brilliant colors from the last week of September through the first two weeks of October. And we hope you get a chance to drive through the Notch and take a ride up the gondola or hike Mt. Mansfield to see the foliage at it's finest.

Collect your receipts from participating Church Street Merchants in Burlington from September 10-October 9, and save what you spend during Marketfest (up to $250) on your Season Pass (Adult StoweSeven+, StoweSeven or StoweSix).

Or apply your savings toward Stowe Points Cards (each a $75 value). You can earn one FREE card for every $25 you spend (up to a maximum of 8 cards). With the Stowe Points Card you can get Stowe Points for nearly every purchase you make at the resort by providing your card during checkout. Use it in the summer on golf, summer attractions and retail. And use it in the winter on rentals, demos, lessons, retail and select on-mountain food and beverage purchase (alcohol excluded).

To apply your savings to a Stowe Season Pass, bring your receipts and application to the Spruce Peak Season Pass Office on or before October 30, 2011.
